Putin's propaganda by Alex Ovechkin. I thought I would describe one example of their propaganda. The man in the photo probably knows a lot of you. He is hockey player Alexander Ovechkin. When Putin annexed Crimea and invaded Donbas in 2014, the Kremlin launched the Save Children From Fascism campaign to portray Ukraine as a fascist / Nazi state and the invasion as a "rescue mission." The Kremlin has recruited a number of celebrities, including Ovechkin, to act in the campaign. Ovechkin was very useful to them not only because he is a famous person, but also because he knew that his participation in the propaganda event would, of course, be commented on by the foreign press, especially in the USA, where he has long been one of the big sports stars. The Russian media therefore received an order to publish the headlines "Ovechkin in America being bullied for resistance to fascism" immediately after the first foreign comments were published. To sum up, the campaign was aimed both internally for ordinary Russians, to promote the war in the Donbas and to recruit volunteers, and externally, thus provoking foreign media and fans to react and to present Ovechkin as a victim of the evil West. There would be countless similar cases, but the purpose is always the same - to show by example how someone is hurting the Russians, and it is therefore quite clear that as a victim they have the right to defend themselves. The reality is that they are spreading lies just so that they can attack innocent people themselves, who are unlucky that their home is too close to Russia. Therefore, I ask you for one thing. Verify all information and avoid suspicious websites. 🙏 How to recognize them? I will mention at least a few characters, but there are more tricks: 👉Names of authors and operators are missing 👉They refer to non-existent or irrelevant sources, or refer to each other in a vicious circle 👉It tries to use the truth and wrap it up with propaganda manipulation or draw a completely meaningless conclusion 👉It feels untraceable experts 👉Long and sensational headlines
